Telperion
Telperion is a self-service tool that helps people without design or technical backgrounds create on-brand graphics, animated data visualizations, and infographics for social posts, interactive decks, and reports.
Our global economics team receives frequent requests for on-brand graphics and data visualizations from every region: AP, EU, NAM and EEMEA. Producing them relies on marketing, comms, or a designer and a developer, which leads to long turnaround times, especially across time zones. They are also rarely one-time requests. Each channel requires a different amount of text, so the layout or chart format often needs several rounds of adjustment.
To keep up with the team’s growing needs, I initiated Telperion, so people can create what they need on their own, anytime.
01
From csv to animated chart
Our team already has static and HTML-based interactive data visualizations, but no support for animation. To meet this need, users can simply upload a CSV, and the app picks the chart type based on the data structure. Users can then choose the format. There are seven chart types and eleven styles to choose from, and the library keeps expanding. Users can type text directly on the canvas, and for some charts, move the text around and drag the shapes. When they finish editing, they can export it as a GIF, MP4, or static PNG.
02
From image to on-brand graphic
The team regularly needs on-brand graphics for internal reports, presentations, social posts, and emails. Each graphic follows the same layout defined in the brand style guide, yet producing one still depends on design support and involves repetitive manual work. When the text changes, the graphic may need to be adjusted as well; otherwise, layout or accessibility issues may occur.
Telperion allows users to create on-brand graphics on their own. Users can upload an image, search the approved image library, or use an AI agent to find an image that fits their topic. They can then adjust the parameters or export the graphic directly. A built-in checker ensures that every graphic meets accessibility requirements.
